About Me

I am a PhD student at Iowa State University, under the guidance of Dr. Adarsh Krishnamurthy and Dr. Baskar Ganapathysubramaniam. My broad research interest is in Finite Element Analysis, GPU Algorithms, Machine Learning, Geometric Modeling and High-performance computing.

Before joining ISU, I was a project associate at Center for Non-Destructive Evaluation, Indian Institute of Technology Madras. I was working with Prof. Krishnan Balasubramanian and his team on the radiography based non-destructive evaluation method. I developed a GPU accelerated X-ray image simulator using CUDA and ray-tracing technique in C++ to generate manufacturing defects containing X-ray images of casting components and welded metal joints.A combination of simulated and experimental data is used to train a deep learning model for defect detection in casting and weld components from X-ray images.

I finished undergrad from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee in 2019 with a major in Mechanical Engineering and minor in Mathematics. For my 2018 summer internship, I visited the research lab of Prof. Vikram Kapila at New York University, where I worked on the development of rehabilitation device for stroke patient.
